Are you an experienced or new genealogist and can’t keep up with the new information for genealogy that comes out all the time on the web? Learn to set up an RSS feed to help stay up to date. I have periodically mentioned RSS feeds before, but could never really explain what they were besides saying they are like electronic subscriptions to your favorite sites, so I didn’t bother. I just relayed the information that I subscribed too. Well I just found this video that perfectly explains in simple terms what RSS feeds are and how to set them up. RSS feeds are a a godsend for the busy genealogist to discover new techniques and records (and new topics for blog entries). They are another weapon in a genealogists’ arsenal and will become vitally important for every one’s research in Genealogy 2.0 land. They will become as common as e-mail. I know that is hard to believe, but trust me. Set one up today. You won’t regret it!
